The Incredible String Band

In 1978, I was 16 years old, I heard a new music on the radio. It was something different, acoustic, with some voices coarse and natural. This music contained what I more appreciated in those days with my age and with longing to know, to discover. Contained that dose of difference that made special. The broadcaster, at the end of the theme, made a comment in the who said that musicians like these, as the Incredible String Band, and King Crimson, should never disappear. Never would have to leave to compose and interpret. It was 1978. King Crimson and The Incredible String Band disappeared in 1974. I got the record that put on the radio. It was not easy, but I got. Since then when someone asks me about my favorite records in second place always is "Earthspan" of The Incredible String Band, the first place has always depended on time of my life, but it is more likely to remain "Islands" by King Crimson.
"Earthspan" is a sensitive record. It seems that at any time you are going to break into your hands as a fragile glass. The basis of The Incredible String Band is the folk, but his compositions are of a sophisticated sweetness. Songs which change of pace and melody, voices and instruments. Listen is wonderful.
