KING
CRIMSON - 40th ANNIVERSARY - PORCUPINE TREE
Since 2003 King Crimson has no edited a new album. The depart of Trey Gunn left the band with less possiblilities for some time. It had speculations to incorporate one bass player and drummer. The colaborations of Robert Fripp with works of Steven Wilson in some of his projects, gave the incorporation of Gavin Harrison like a drummer with Mastelotto. Tony Levin joint again the band beside Belew and Fripp. This seems to be the official incarnation of the last King Crimson. For the moment there's a concert recorded and published as mp3: West Park Chicago 2008. The most remarkable, of course, is the sound of the two drummers. |

2008 Mastelotoo, Belew, Fripp, Harrison and Levin |
In Octuber 2009 begins to out to the market three CDs under the denomination of King Crimson 40th Anniversary Series. Remastered and remixed from the original tapes, is a work by Steven Wilson. This edition contains one CD and DVDA 5.1.surround. Have to remark that is impressive the work of Wilson with these albums. For the moment, are In the Court of the Crimson King, Lizard and Red. We hope while 2010 the edition of more albums.
About a new album of King Crimson... we don't know...

KING
CRIMSON: THE POWER TO BELIEVE
If we consider like an age the incarnation still with Trey Gunn,
without Bruford and Levin, we can tell about their two last works in studio.
The power to Believe is heaviest that The ConstruKction of Light.
In general have the brand of King Crimson. The Soundscapes takes leadership in almost all the CD, and more in the theme Dangerous Curves. A leadership that become to these guitar effects as a mellotron in their first albums from de 70's.
King Crimson is going ahead, renewing with the pass of time. In their concerts they play mostly the last songs.
November 21, 2003
Trey Gunn left King Crimson.
