Has to be one of the best MMB discs I've ever encountered. Couldn't get enough of the fantastic opener "Astralasia" (the name of Magic Mushroom Band's post band, as I believe Astralasia still exists), their hippie anthem (?) "Freedom", the truly inspiring "My Hat", "Squatter In The House", the couple of out-of-this-world songs - "Aquasia" and "Aravinds" as well as the Mother Gong-like "It Just Takes Time".

The Magic Mushroom Band's follow-up to 'Re-Hash' {see my review} and a bit better - at least I thought so. 'RU Spaced Out 2' more than proves this UK ensemble to be in a more of a trance / ambient direction. Tunes here that's sure to lure you in are "Remember Our Future", their tasteful cover of Hawkwind's "Hurry on Sundown", the power pop number "Herbs And Spice" and "Thought Train".

Personally, I liked these song's original versions better. Liked hearing (to a point) "Euphoria" and "Freedom" but I think I may have enjoyed a couple of the unreleased tunes more so like "Queen Of Spades" and "Bed In Your Bonkers".

Third album of this band from 1969. Julie Driscoll was married with Keit Tippet, the pianist of King Crimson. This album have good songs in general, but there's a version of Light my Fire of The Doors, that is very well performed and sung by the band.

1977. First work of Peter Gabriel after leaving Genesis. When he went out to the market, on the radio that I used to hear, were each day Solsbury Hills. Obviously i bought fastly. A part of Solsbury Hills has another great theme: Here Comes the Flood, which can be heard in the album Exposure of Robert Fripp, in a version for piano, voice and Frippertronics.

Esbjörn Svensson Trio - Tuesday Wonderland

This trio of Jazz swedish was discovered at the insistence of a radio broadcaster to announce their concert in Spain. A trio: piano, bass and drums doing something close to the Jazz but with much personality. Their themes are compositions and it seems that their interpretations are premeditated, leaving little space to improvisation, unthinkable in the jazz. Their leader, Svensson, died recently in an accident practicing rafting, I think.
